That the old bird is heading for the hanger.

I've known for a while but felt it unwise to post on here.

BA/AF will make a joint anouncement today, saying that services will be discontinued from OCT.

My sources tell me this is due to Airbus( the follow on from BAe and Aeros....), no longer willing to support the maintence costs of the old bird. Ba have known for a while, hence why they have only operated 2/3 aircraft of the fleet.

A truely sad day for aviation.
