You'll be fine.
If you have specific brands of food you want to bring with you then you can bring it into Mexico. It would be a smart idea to declare the 24 pack of Bud however they might just wave you off once they see it since it doesn't appear to be quantities which would raise suspicion.

Just be discrete when you are at the resort as some of them might not like the consumption of outside food, especially in the common areas like lounge, swimming pool areas, beach etc...pay close attention to the signage which specifically prohibits this. Even in the absence of any signage, try to be discrete as they might try to argue otherwise.
