Happy December 27th, everyone!
The worst of the big storm is past us. In some ways it wasn't as bad as projected, in others it was worse. We received about a foot of snow but without the gusty winds and drifting. If only that were all. But no. After all that snow, it rained all day yesterday, turning the snow into heavy slush and then, when temperatures returned to normal (below freezing) it all solidified. I was out shoveling through much of yesterday, so I'm not in too bad of shape compared to those who stayed in and are now frozen in and faced with a very difficult time removing that 7-8" of heavy frozen slush. The problem for me right now is that the road from where I live out to the main highway is still impassable and from what I hear the highway is not in much better shape. Additionally, the power was on and off throughout the day yesterday and then off for about five hours late yesterday afternoon and evening.
We seem good to go today, though apparently Mother Nature's not done with us yet.

Motorists should prepare for difficult travel conditions, especially on roads that have not been plowed from the recent winter storm.
Here are the two questions we have left:
30. (1993) There are no casinos nor any other type of legalized gambling in the state of Hawaii, so if you want to hone your considerable skills in the game of Baccarat, you’ll have to fly to the mainland. Vegas and Reno are all well and good but this time you’ve decided to try you luck down in Laughlin, Nevada. The decision is made that much easier upon discovering that Laughlin’s airport - located just across the Colorado River in Bullhead City, AZ - is accessible each day from Honolulu via a single connection involving two nonstop flights on two different airlines, each operating a different aircraft type. Identify the two airlines, the connection airport and the two aircraft types.
It's not HA to QQ via SJC or DL via SLC. KN with its 733 is the final leg and a widebody is employed to the connection point
33. (1992) Plane spotters parked out along NW 72nd Ave off Millam Dairy Road are in for a treat this winter with four airlines operating scheduled flights into Miami with DC-8s. Two airlines operate standard 8s (srs 10-50) while the other two operate the 60 series. Can you identify which airlines we’re referencing here?
