The emotional support animal craze is ridiculous. If you can't fly without an animal near you then you shouldn't fly. Get a teddy bear. Airports in the US are like kennels now. Don't say it's only a dog or cat. What harm is that? Your cat is just as loved or "needed" as someone's pig. miniature horse, or peacock as we all saw. Suddenly everybody has mental problems. This is the same argument used when smoking was allowed on airplanes if you are old enough to remember. When eliminating smoking on planes was proposed, the smokers went ballistic. They said it was "impossible" for them to fly all those hours without being able to smoke. They "needed" it. It calmed them down. They were emotional support cigarettes. Now that it is banned, we see they actually can survive even long flights no problem without a flaming death stick hanging out of their mouths. Same with the animals. What did people do before animals could fly? Stay home? One person next to me with a dog admitted that she only brought the dog on the plane because it was free compared to paying for it to be carried as baggage below. And yes it relieved itself right on the floor and the flight attendant had to clean it up! What a glamourous job that has become.
