I was busy (with all kinds of 9 day trip) courtesy of cheap avis rate; and neglected to make sure my one-day National rez for 12/24 was indeed cancelled. Just noticed my AMEX charge of $47.80 is pending...There were no emails from National, no reminder text to phone - that I had a 12/24 pick-up "upcoming". I'm EE, and this happens to be first time ever I'm charged over fail to pick-up. Last and only email from National was the day of original booking 12/8
Anything I can do today to not waste my $47.80?
if it's a non aisle location sometimes they will pre open all the reservation for the day so you can get on your way faster, when they open the contract your card will be pre authorized. If you never pick it up then they will just purge it at end of the day usually and the charge will never be posted
