Covered Hazards – equipment failure, inclement weather, strike and hijacking/skyjacking
I remember when that wording first appeared and it seemed to suggest that while the covered hazards used to be more liberal, the new wording that is also what is currently printed above, specify those four as only covered hazards now.

Has anyone made a claim recently for anything other than above, for example ATC issues? Did anyone make a successful claim during the period several weeks ago when WN had a bunch of staffing issues causing cancellations to be covered by the Media?

What official cancellation reasons are being given for the current holiday flight cancellations due to covid rules and staff shortages?

Assuming reasons might not be one of the four above, do people here expect coverage? I'm curious but also may experience such a cancellation around new years so want to have a plan ahead of time on whether or not I can expect coverage.
