Other option could be book one property 5 nights cash (something like Westin JW or Meridien) and then 5 nights at StR. Or just do two rooms at LeMeridien for 10 nights all on points. Room quality, upgrade potential and food are priorities. I think W has the best reef but it’s not the most important aspect. We do want activities like, kayaks and things to keep young people entertained.
Thanks in advance for advice. I’m Ambassador
You can also perhaps consider a 2 bedroom villa at STR. You can get them for 585k points per 5 night stay so you'd need to somehow accumulate around another 270k points for a 10 night stay. But the STR by far is the best resort of all Marriotts.
If the 2 bedroom isn't an option because either you can't get the points or because you don't want to have a shared villa of any sort, then perhaps go with the cash option for 5 nights at a less expensive resort and then switch to the STR on points for the second 5 nights.
Keep in mind that you'll be paying transfer fees (which aren't cheap) twice for 4 adults by staying at 2 different resorts so that may factor into your decision on if to stay put at 1 resort for the entire stay.
