I guess my info is outdated. The time I was there, AA had this tiny room upstairs masquerading as an AC. Each gate had it's own security, and it still puzzles me how that could change, but I guess anything is possible. The terminal is a semi-circle, with parking lot on one side and the gates on the other side. The way I remember is that if all the gates were to be "secured" TSA would basically have to block the entrance doors from the parking/street side which would mean that non-passengers would not be able to get inside the building.. This was about 2 years ago, so things could have changed.
