I've only got about 7K in my CO account & I've never attempted to cash out a flight award - I'll eventually transfer my miles into Amtrak & use for either train travel, gift cards, or UA miles, but is it really that hard to redeem miles? With the NW/DL/SkyTeam partnership, it hasn't become any easier? I earn all my flight miles on NW & all my incremental (hotel, rental car, iDine, etc) miles on CO. Of course, with this promo, that'll mean more redeemable miles & more competition for seats...
