I've been reading the posts on this site for a while and have learned so much. I'm very grateful.

My wife and I are planning a trip to Italy next fall. I called the DL award desk this morning and they found Business award availabiltity on AF. The itinerary is as follows:

Sept. 10 SFO - JFK (in Delta F)
Sept. 10 JFK - CDG (in AF Business)
Sept. 11 CDG - FCO (in AF Business)

Sep. 25 VCE - CDG (in AF Business)
Sep. 25 CDG - SFO (in AF Business)

I currently have 73K Skymiles and my wife can give me 10K for $100. I can buy the rest for around $250. That would cover the award ticket. We'd need to buy a ticket for the same itinerary and that one prices out at $2495 all in.

I've used miles for domestic coach before but never for Business Intl. Does this seem like a good deal? I have the award itinerary on hold for 2 weeks.
If I let this go (and try to earn some miles rather than buy them) am I likely to find availability again. Our dates are flexible. Really, any two weeks in September or October would work. Thanks in advance for the advice.

One other thing. When I put in the confirmation code on the DL site I can only see the DL segment. How can I see the AF segments?
