Someone in our traveling party tests covid positive within 3 days of travel. I would be past cancellation window of all properties at that point. Will the chase trip cancellation coverage cover the cancel fees. My understanding is that this would be a covered reason.
What if hawaii introduces a bunch of new travel restrictions which effectively closes border to tourism. Assume hotels are still open but we can’t make it there. Would chase cover cancel fees? I am unclear on if this is a covered reason.
If you only used the Hyatt card you'll only get the benefits that that card offers. You'll have to look those up.
For the Hyatt card at chase.com:
Trip Cancellation/Interruption Insurance If your trip is canceled or cut short by sickness, severe weather and other covered situations, you can be reimbursed up to $5,000 per person and $10,000 per trip for your pre-paid, non-refundable travel expenses, including passenger fares, tours, and hotels.
