I didn’t actually know there was a limit. I believe the exact terms are your spouse/domestic partner plus any of your immediate descendants.

Once I observed a family consisting of grandpa, some adult children, and then grandchildren attempting to enter the club at ORD. The adult child was masquerading as “mom” and claiming grandpa was “dad”. One of the grandchildren called him “grandpa” and the UA agent denied entry to the grandchildren.

Grandpa didn’t seem happy about the whole shenanigans and shrugged and said “Guess you can’t get in today” and proceeded to enter the lounge by himself, looking quite pleased as he breezed up the escalators.
