i was trying to use the award miles (EVA) to get a business class ticket but the booking agent at EVA said no award ticket available all the way through end of January.
looks like they rather leave seats empty than allow members to redeem their mileage.

Last time I took this route, there was a lady waiting for us, as soon as we got off the plane from LAX she took us through the security scan right away and walked us over to the gate for boarding to BKK.
Did not even get a chance to visit the bathroom.
Was it after the Covid? In my case no one pushed the passengers to go. They just made an announcement and I took my cool time to get there knowing that they would probably check the documents. This happened to me in DOH too. They wanted to reissue Boarding pass.
