If EQD truly do count as one LP each, I bet they kiss a significant number more of elites goodbye.
Once the LP system starts ticket purchases will earn LPs same as what you currently earn for miles based on amount spent,
For $100 ticket:
Base miles earned = 100 x 5 = 500
Bonus miles for EXP = 100 x 6 = 600
Total = 1,100 which will = LP

Issue is rolling LP.
EQD is real dollars spent with no multiplier.
Hence it they just start with raw EQD - then if you have $10K EQD - you only start with with 10,000 LP in your rolling 12 months.
If they go back and recalculate how you would have earned based on LP rules - then that 10,000 LP would be 110,000 for EXP to start the rolling LP.

Rolling LPs only apply to upgrade priority within Elite tier.

So someone could spend $10K on their CC on Jan 1 and say start with same 10,000 LP for rolling.
