I phoned BA yesterday (managed to get through on the Spanish line) to ask about changing my inbound flight on a LHR - DXB - LHR ticket. The booking had two pax on it (myself and my partner) and I just wanted to enquire about the cost to change my inbound flight to a later date and in a higher cabin.

The CS rep said he would first have to split the bookings (which he did) so now we have separate PNRs. I did not go though with date change as I just wanted to get a price to tell my work as the change relates to some business. However, it now appears I have two inbound flights on the PNR - one for the original return and another for the enquired date in a higher class (WTP). Both are showing as confirmed.

Will the latter just drop off the booking if not confirmed or do I need to call again to get this sorted? Thanks in advance!
