So an interesting thing I noticed on Friday: they've constructed a not-yet-opened temporary walkway from the future F concourse to the far east end of the current temporary walkway to the G concourse. This suggests that the F concourse is much further along than the original phasing and we'll see gates open on that pier before the old Terminal D demolition is completed and the F concourse is connected directly to the headhouse (pre-Covid, no F concourse construction was planned to begin until Terminal D demolition was complete).
This also means we'll all have to take the skybridge out to G from the headhouse to get to the F concourse for a time. But hey, progress!
I noticed that walkway last week, and am hoping I don't get to see the shiny new F gates until the old terminal is torn down and the main headhouse connector is built.
Seriously, the increasingly kafkaesque design of frankenconstruction LGA is testing my patience for putting up with terrible now for better later.
