I'd be curious to know if the people advocating for extensions having not been able to use them due to the pandemic are the same people insisting that lounges be open, breakfast be the old full buffet without limit and housekeeping be twice daily because they're tired of the pandemic being used as an excuse.
"I'm not traveling because I hate Covid Theater and because I don't want to pay full price for partial service" is an entirely reasonable position.
