Not everyone would agree with you. As someone who has flown VS as well as BA (and prefers BA in F but VS doesn't have F) I would say the choice is not at all clear. BA has the flat bed seats, but some (tiny) chance of a plane substition resulting in old CW which is much worse than VS -- such substitution having happened several times this year on SFO-LHR due to the very weak load factor out of SFO earlier this year; so it isn't a theoretical risk. VS seems to be more consistent in always having UC service to the west coast (while MCO is a different story). VS is a completely different experience and throws in a haircut, massage, manicure both on board and in the Clubhouse (they happen to have a very nice lounge at SFO). The seat is better than DL B/E and while not flat it is close enough and somewhat lower density than BA. Personally I would say overall they are equal and BA is not worth a premium on this route. Also non-consolidator UC fares on VS include chauffeur service to SFO (50 mile radius) and from LHR, something that BA does not offer even in F. VS is a lot of fun to fly (though the crew can be cheeky if encouraged). BA is more like an English Club (both good and bad). I suppose that's why they named it Club World ...
