Ah, I don't really have a strong position on the reasons why, covid or otherwise, only that those services I've come to expect have been pared down. If the pandemic is the reason or excuse, fine. I'm by nature a tit-for-tat guy; so, if it's good for them, it should be good for me. They can refuse my request, which is fine and their prerogative to do so.
Now, if it weren't for the pandemic, I would have most assuredly used all of my free promo nights, Cat 4 or otherwise. Unlike them where the pandemic may or may not have been excuse, mine certainly isn't, unless your position is because I'd refuse to burn them at some Cat 4 HP/HH around me to be an "excuse."
