Well, I must say, BA is awesome in its customer service response. I have already received a telephone reply from a customer service rep in NY, who advised me that my ticket would be cancelled and the monies credited back to my AMEX card. He also indicated that they are having MAJOR problems with performance issues at the Florida call center, and that I am not by any means the first person to complain about this very same issue.

So, kudos to BA for being so customer-friendly and responsive, and for doing the right thing in the end.

Now, I have found a consolidator who can get me Virgin Uupper Class for about $3100 p/p, but BA was about $500 more p/p. Any suggestions on who to contact for better pricing? This experience has left me with a very positive feeling about BA, and I would like to try BA's business class, but can't justify the extra $1000 it will cost to fly them. Any suggestions?

Note to Pucci: you have every right to be proud of your employer...this was, indeed, very impressive, and quick, handling of my situation. My hat is off to BA. And also, to all of you, who were so helpful to me.

Regards,
sldbld

Trust me, the extra $500 per person is MORE than worth it... i've never flown VS but know that their seating is not directly comparable as it does not go fully flat. The seat DOES recline to 180 degrees but does so at an angle. That, plus no one takes care of it's passengers like BA. You'll love the experience.
