Those AMEX Platinum cards come with a lot of benefits. You sure you want to forego Priority Pass membership? Hotel status? Travel interruption / cancellation benefits? Warranty extension? Amex offers?

If you are open to getting an additional credit card, I'd get the Citi Advantage Executive World Elite MasterCard. You will earn the almighty "Loyalty Points" plus have an Admiral's Club membership. It's a win-win. Ugh.
