I booked a flight to Thailand with Etihad, and I noticed their COVID-19 insurance, which automatically applies when booking with them. According to its T&C, the maximum coverage is EUR 150,000.
However, besides this nice touch, it seems that Etihad doesn't provide some "proof" (e.g. digital certificate) of this insurance after a regular booking. Given that Thailand requires proof of insurance (minimum USD 50,000) as part of their rules to enter, it would be interesting to simply show this Etihad's insurance, but as I said, seems that Etihad doesn't provide such document.
I know a COVID travel insurance is not so expensive, I'm asking because it feels a bit odd to purchase a 2nd insurance just to be able to pass through Thai customs.
