This is true, although I think C+ used to offer better overall benefits than UA (i seem to recall no free booze on UA E+, pre-pandemic).

Also, I could probably count one one hand the number of times where I didn't get the C+ immediately after booking as a PM. This is probably more of an issue for folks booking extremely close to time of departure, I'm guessing.
