There's a lot of this that goes elsewhere too.

Many people refer to Citibank's currency as "TYP points". Well, what does the P in TYP stand for? Points!

Many people refer to their "SSN number" or "SSN#". Well, what does the N in SSN stand for? Number!

But the point is that not everyone knows what those letters stand for. So it's always going to happen.

And it's technically not repeating Embraer twice as you keep saying. It's only following Embraer with an abbreviation for Embraer. An abbreviation is not the thing as a full word, so it's technically not quite a repeat.

... And now for another question that to me seems in the similar "why ask" vein: Why is your post #1 above in all bold letters?
