Check in at LHR is brilliant as the T1 - R Zone is the most civilised check-in arrangement anywhere in the world.

Sit back and enjoy the flight ! Get as much sleep as poss on the flight, stay awake as late as poss on arrival in Hk and then get a good night's sleep.

Contrary to what other's say dont over-indulge in the alcohol and stick to lightish food on the flight.

Make the most of your chance to 'deplane' before the masses and walk ever so briskly to immigration. If you are lucky and there aren't any other flights coming in at exactly the same time you may get through immigration without too much queuing.

BA has great check-in facilities at HK but the F lounge is not much cop. If you can, be sure to use the CX lounge which has proper sit down food and the wonderful Cabanas (not to be missed). They should let you in with your BA invite but it may be that you need a Gold card also (I have never been sure which has got me in).

I am flying out tomorrow, also in F - where are you staying ?
