Why has BA removed the air sickness bags?

I knew my handle would come back to haunt me one day, but why? With all the spurious things they blame the pandemic for ("WTP menus removed to reduce cross-contamination"), this is the one I find hardest to understand. Or maybe it was just my flight (my first long-haul BA flight in 20 months). But honestly, if somebody actually needs to vomit in their seat, wouldn't it be more important than ever that the contents are securely captured? Also, my flight was from Brazil where many restaurants provide a bag of the same type, sealed in a plastic bag, where customers can leave their face masks whilst they're eating. When everybody removes their masks to eat and drink, it would seem very much preferable not to place them in some random location where any germs that may be captured on the inside are free to roam.
