I have a friend who's a marriott gm. this has been an issue at my friend's hotel; in that case it also affects the internet--I don't know if it was out the past few days, but it's happened more than once in recent months.
complaining bitterly (and pleasantly, it's not their fault) to the front desk can result in free drinks, meals, points or other treats, but I'd recommend writing to marriott at this point.
it's not unreasonable to expect both television and internet to work during a stay.
