Uber is easy at JFK thankfully.
But Cmag211 specifically mentioned flying out of T5, and the convenience of being able to walkto the terminal (as in, 5 minutes bed-to-bag drop) is worth the extra for us, especially in the morning. We paid around $280 for an "executive king suite" which is really just a normal sized hotel room (the base rooms appear to be tiny) but the hard product was excellent.
Flying out of another terminal, you have to go outside from the hotel to catch the AirTrain, so at that point I don't think the hyperconvenience is there, it's kind of a wash (at least on time & effort) compared to catching an Uber (which I would probably do just to avoid hassle even if I stayed at a hotel with an "airport shuttle" to Federal Circle).
