No kidding! Wow, just checked and they're asking for around $500+ per night? Yeah, no way I'm gonna pay that. As with many I suspect, I have several Cat 4 free nights with the 12/31 expiry, and thought using it at the HR JFK would be good idea, but didn't realize the transportation inconvenience.

Good idea. At this rate, I'll probably do this or extend a night at my current hotel, and just hop on the LIRR--now that it's all off peak--to avoid the morning traffic to JFK.
