because of some renovations to my home i have spent a few nights this month at the renaissance st pancras. the first stay i was put in the more modern wing which is to say it is all fairly standard rooms. another time i was upgraded to a suite in the original/victorian wing.
i was pleasantly surprised by both stays at how comfortable and well appointed the rooms were combined with the beautiful restoration of the building itself. further, it is on top of kings cross tube station, and a stones throw from euston. so if you are more or less stuck to the room, this is a fairly decent choice if the price is right for you.
will be staying at the new westin for the next week, but that is closer to st pauls and the city so not an obvious choice but again, on top of the circle/district line and right next to st pauls/the tate modern and not difficult to get to/from other tourist sights via tube. but given the property is new, i do not know what to expect quite yet.
