I guess there is more activity at T5 which previously had been at other airlines or other terminals and/or Gatwick. Frustratingly I have also been on a proper gate but then bussed elsewhere - eg domestic arrival on an international gate.

What is annoying is all the guff about social distancing and then cramming you into half the space. The natural reaction to reduced footfall is to lay off staff and reduce infrastructure but if you put half the passenger numbers into half the number of buses (or car parks, or lounges etc) you keep the distancing standard. You need more buses, going more frequently, with half the occupancy.
