How to use Hyatt Check Certificates outside the US
Sometime ago I bought a bunch of Hyatt $50 Check Certificates but am finding it difficult to make use of them,

Virtually all my travel is overseas and on a trip to Asia & Europe last month, I encountered a nice Asian property where they offered me an exchange rate that was about 13% lower than the going rate for USD. When I complained the Front Office Manager claimed that they deduct "service fees" to arrive at the rate they offer.

Later another hotel in Europe (Hyatt Place Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands) flatly refused to accept these Check Certiificates.

What is going on and do I have any recourse?
