Just came back from my trip, visited both EWR and IAD.
This took 45min to come out with only 3 people in the dining room. I was first to be seated but last to get my food. The person next to me got oatmeal and it took 35min. The waitress told me the kitchen was only using one burner. It would have been faster to just goto the buffet and get a bowl of oatmeal. At IAD it only took 10min. It seems like much of their menu could be done in an oven (at least partially) but maybe they don't have one of those too.
On arrival, I tried going in order to try out the dinner items but was denied. I arrived at the dining room around 7:15pm and was told they cannot seat anyone else because the kitchen closes at 8pm. I actually saw several empty tables and two people just left. I said that I don't need 45min to eat but he said he could not seat me. Why do they stop seating people a full 45min before closing? Why does the kitchen stop at 8pm when there are 10-11pm flights? I tried the buffet, but everything was cold and over-cooked to the point I had trouble chewing it. Kind of a disappointing way to end my trip
