I don't know the answer, but my read of the paragraph on aa.com is that the second flight (AA) counts. It doesn't say that it must be at the exact airport.
Fair point, but I'll let the lawyers squabble about the words. The intent is that one has access at the ACs for the eligible flight, not with some random non-qualifying flight beforehand (be it JetBlue, UA, DL etc..)..
