Yes so the rebooking policy and lack of premium economy does mean you would be rebooked in Y on QR, but you should be rebooked. The QR policy covers all BA long haul destinations, for travel up to end of March 2022, and where rebooking to end of March 2022. Rewards are also included. If you are still interested you should call up again and if they are saying no refer them to the policy:
