Both wild coast and cape weligama are not your traditional beach resorts. Food and service are great, the rooms are really nice as well as the shared areas and the pool. The beach in wild coast is off limits (guards really make sure you can not go to the beach)the beach at cape weligama is smaller than the one at Anantara Tangelle but otherwise similar. It’s nice to have a walk but you can not really spend a day there as it’s too dangerous to swim and in the evening the sea comes up rapidly with huge and strong waves that push you over.
Anantara peace heaven Tangalle has tiny rooms, an old pool without atmosphere and average food and service. We booked a room and upon arrival and actually seeing this room decided to upgrade to a Beach pool Villa. in the end we had a lovely time in the Villa that is actually very nice and has a good view and a nice plunge pool.
If you are looking for a traditional beach location , neither of these 3 options will offer this. Ceylon properties offer good food and great service.
Anantara is ok if you are on a budget (as we were at the time)
