Occasionally someone asks a question re flights to/from YVR, so I'm posting info from this email which arrived today, Dec 14 2021

The flight schedule through March 26, 2022, is now available for your travel needs.

The Vancouver=Tokyo route will be departing to and from Narita (NRT) instead of Haneda (HND) between March 1 and March 26, 2022. Please review your itinerary prior to departure.

Flight Number: NH135 / NH136
Days of Operation: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays (operating 3 times a week)

< Flight reservations for Vancouver = Narita route departing March 1 - March 26, 2022 >
We plan to start accepting reservations for Vancouver = Narita flights (NH135/NH136 operating between March 1 - March 26, 2022, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays) from December 16, 2021 (Thursday morning) Japan time.

Reservations are already being accepted for Vancouver = Haneda flights (NH115/NH116 operating through February 28, 2022, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays).

Remember to review travel requirements before making plans to travel.


Japan Strengthens Border Measures

Effective November 30 through December 31, 2021, non-Japanese nationals, including existing Japan visa holders, have been suspended from entering Japan in response to the new COVID-19 Omicron variant. The 14-day quarantine has temporarily resumed for those entering Japan, regardless of having a valid COVID-19 vaccination certificate. For more information, click here.

Before Leaving Japan: PCR Testing Options

PCR testing options at partner medical facilities are available for travelers who are preparing to depart Japan to travel or return to Canada. If you have any questions about PCR tests or the testing certificate, please contact the relevant clinic directly.

Testing Requirements upon Arrival for All Travelers Entering Canada

Currently, all passengers entering Canada require a negative COVID-19 test certificate for a test taken within 72 hours prior to the scheduled departure time of the flight to Canada.

Additionally, passengers must also continue to submit quarantine and contact information through ArriveCAN prior to departure and may need to take a COVID-19 test upon arrival and quarantine at the designated quarantine facility or another suitable location while awaiting results. For all itineraries originating from North, Central, and South America, change fees will be waived through December 31, 2021.
