They were not unfriendly (for the most part), just focussing on lab tests or nothing. Interesting that your VeriFly app worked for you because the following day we heard the staff saying that they didn't know what it was and 65 passengers were denied boarding, many with the app apparently. Some had managed to check-in online and had printed off their boarding passes and were then stopped at the gate and refused to board because they didn't have lab tests. It was all a mess.
