Just completed a three night stay at Thompson Nashville. Overall, it was ok, but not sure if I would do it again. The lobby and public areas are very nice. The room felt spartan- the floor to ceiling windows in the 10th floor corner king offered a great view, but the furniture was minimal- just a platform bed, two small nightstands, a very small desk, a small chair at the desk and another similar small chair in one corner. The only lighting was from two small nightstand lamps with black shades, a desk lamp, and on corner lamp. Most of the space was open and empty. A couch or a bigger chair or at least an ottoman would have been nice, otherwise you pretty much had to sit on the bed. I booked a FHR rate, and got the room I paid for. No mention of upgrades, or even an explanation of why no upgrades. In fact, my Globalist status was not mentioned at all until I brought it up, and was told Globalist benefits do not apply to the FHR rate. I did receive the free breakfast (up to $60 ) good at the coffee shop or Marsh House, and the food was great. No premium wifi or free water, and the gym was small and cramped.
