I understand they want better utilisation of planes and crews but Easyjet, Ryanair and Jet2 all offer reasonable timings on the route. I’d rather pay one of them for an extra seat or just save the extra.
I don’t think a 1am departure is too bad if it’s in addition to other flights. But on a Sunday, in August, the only flight from ALC-LGW is at 01:35 am!!! That’s beyond crazy.

A 05:50 LGW-BER also seems very unappealing!
