It's unclear which gates Delta will have at the end of construction, but if Delta keeps their current gates and takes on the new gates being built at the end of the A concourse (as opposed to shifting around assignments of existing gates), that is going to make for some very annoying connecting walks.
Delta and many of its partners will eventually take over all of T4; they have already started to displace some other non-Skyteam carriers (e.g., Swiss has been booted to T1 effective Feb 1 2022; already, Swiss is often forced to use the A gates instead of the previously non-Delta B gates (B27, B29, B31) and both VS and LA aircraft are now often leaving out of those three B gates. It will be interesting to see if they are successful in pushing EK out of T4 in the near term as well!
