Write a polite, concise note to HH outlining your situation and asking them to honor the terms that were in effect when you made the res. CS can't do anything other than follow their procedures manual. You don't have to 'prove' your facts, HH can look that up easily. You need an executive to help you.
Hilton Honors can't do this. Amex would have to.
And the Amex is not limited to "loyal guests."
