Not to deliberately go against the grain, however, if they anything like the Bose ones which were given out on American Airlines back at Easter time on their 777's (DFW-LGW flight, for those wondering). They drove me nuts!

Yes, everything is quiet, however, what it doesn't remove is the dreadful din of the engines being slightly out of sync of each other.!!!

I can hear it now..... druuuuum.........druuuuuuum.......druuuuuuum.... and on it went - moments of silence in between cresendo's of resonant frequencies!

As it was a night flight and too tired for the movie, I put them in the little black bag they were given out and collected in. Being a closed back type of heaphone, being someone who sleeps on their side, I think my head would have been 3 inches off the pillow if I had tried to sleep with them on!

P.S: I would avoid the noise reducing thingy's completely. I have a pair of Sony MDR-700's when I travel (plus they come in a nice opelescent white bag) and a pair of Grado headphones for the Hi-Fi at home which are superb.
