I've used it a few times in the past year with no issue, and don't see a clear reason why it wouldn't meet the current UK requirements. Sounds a bit like the LAS stories above (though I'd have expected better from BA @ JFK)... But maybe I'm missing something.
Used them twice for UK entry last week. VeriFly sometimes rejects them at first but I just resubmit it and it goes through fine the second time. I’ve shown them to UK Border Force before too back in the day when there were no egate options.
