What a stunning experience!
This was the second time I really got emotional staying at a property (the 1st was the PHNY). Being surrounded by such natural beauty nestled between Camelback Mountain and Mummy Mountain was such a treat.
Despite the resort being fully sold out, I was upgraded to an Oversized Deluxe Casita that directly faced Camelback (lovely view). The room had charming style (loved the wooden beams on the ceiling). The bed was amazing and plush (I wish all JWs had beds like these), and the shower was effective. TV was large with Internet TV OS. I did manage to lock myself out on the patio - make sure to bring your room key with you (or just don't shut the door) :-)
Breakfast at Rita's was a highlight - Elites can upgrade to the full buffet from the continental buffet for $7. Best $7 I have ever spent. There were the best shredded hashbrowns I've ever had, and the chef was very efficient at making delicious omelets, pancakes, waffles, and french toast for the line of demanding customers. I was so full from the amazing breakfast (eaten outside surrounded by beautiful nature - there was even a resort employee walking around with a falcon) that I barely had room for dinner.
The pool was peaceful and wonderfully heated. The resort grounds were immaculate.
Despite being a resort, I was able to get 4 PM late checkout. My room didn't have a Privacy Please sign on, so when I put out a makeshift sign using the in-room notepad, I noticed that Housekeeping left a replacement sign for me - nice touch.
Overall, this was an amazing experience that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
