Booking a TAP flight on another *A airline site
The other day, on one of the threads it was mentioned that a strategy for being "stuck" - if I booked a TAP flight on the TAP site - is to book that identical flight on Air Canada or United (for example). I think the term used was "codeshare". Then if TAP cancels their flight, the other airline (AC for example) would try to get me to my destination on another "codeshare".
Sounds good to me, but... the TAP flight does not show up if I search for the flight (LIS-YUL) on the days I need to fly. I tried with AC, UA, and LH, but on those 3 sites, the TAP business class fight (round trip) was not listed. Suggestions? Would a problem be that the flights are in late May 2022?
I am naturally concerned because the flight is to attend my son's wedding - something that I don't want to miss. Thanks for information.
