New AWFUL vodka on Delta

I haven’t drank Alcohol in a long time on a Delta flight since they no longer have Bailey’s but flew in F DTW/LAX a couple days ago and a Bloody Mary sounded good. No Bloody Mary mix was catered so did a screwdriver. Was given a glass of OJ along with the mixer (I guess mixing the drinks is another post covid precaution, don’t really care because I’d rather mix anyway) and was given a bottle of Du Nord vodka, a vodka I never heard of.

This stuff was awful, on the same level as the Gordon’s they had in the skyclub a while back.

The menu they showed eveyrone said Finlandia vodka. I asked the FA and she said that was what was catered on the last few flights they did.

Delta just keeps getting worse. The “meal” was a box with a couple pieces of dried meat and cheese and like six grapes and a half a hard boiled egg with plastic table wear in it, they are still serving out of plastic cups, no pillows and blankets even though this was a long haul morning flight and now they are using swill for one of the few alcohols they still have.

Glad I don’t drink much and it was a free upgrade. I got the only upgrade on that flight and was at the gate. First class was a lot more than coach if you purchased it, I can’t believe people are paying that kind of money for first class.

I had seat 15C in C plus on a 757 so would have had a lot more leg room. I think in the future if I have that seat I’m goiing to uncheck the request upgrade and just eat in the skyclub before boarding.
