There weren’t any options online. I first asked the lounge agent about the rules, and she said rerouting wasn’t allowed. I later visited the customer service desk in the C gates area, where I was told going from a connection to a direct flight was allowed, but not the other way around. I finally asked at the gate after the second delay, but the agent there referred me back to customer service.

On the day of, is there any chance we would be able to do a SDC to the direct CDG - YYZ if there is available space? Or is that ineligible since we would be changing the route?
If the customer service agent I spoke to was correct, then you should be able to do a SDC to a direct flight.
Try it and let us know if that’s actually the case!
