Allegiant was back to making (non-government subsidized) positive earnings and cash flow during the pandemic before any other airline in America, and probably the world. Making a new sub-WGA fare is essentially unbundling, just like what the majors did with "basic economy". Just accept it.
Allegiant started service to my home airport in 2016. By 2019, they had so many flights here there and had close to 30% of airport passenger count so were plans for them to get a dedicated terminal building of their own. The pandemic only slightly delayed construction thankfully because the current terminal is way overcrowded in general during peak times now.
