Just finished my 6 day stay at Josun Palace and couple points:
- Used up my SNA and got upgraded to Master Suite (Heritage Club Level) and that provided couple things:
- Two complimentary on-site parking
- Happy Hour Drinks at 1914 Josun Bar (which provided 2 drinks per person + canape)
- Breakfast at Constants
Pros:- Rooms where brand new and fantastic. The beds + pillows were excellent as well as Air Purifer + Samsung Air Dresser were nice touch
- Service - they always follow up on request and were professional
- Extreme high ceilings (per Asia/Seoul) therefore didn't feel trapped in room + lounge + restaurants
Cons/Needs Improvement:- Upgrade: With the recent COVID-19 Restrictions, so many Koreans are doing 'staycations' and since this hotel is the "HOTTEST" in Seoul it doesn't provide any rooms for upgrade. Koreans will generally book cash booking for these suites due to the amenities and benefits the upgrades/SNA possibility on Friday/Saturday night are next to impossible.
- Inconsistency: As a Korean American (whom is fluent in Korean and English), my significant other's Korean isn't great. I'm fully aware that there are some language barriers as well as fluency, but the explanation of specific benefits/instructions were inconsistent (e.g. As an individual whom is staying at a Suite - we were entitled to use entitled to complimentary sauna usage and when we were checking in in - they stated that "we weren't entitled" when clearly over the phone in Korean they did state that up to 3 guests were entitled to use the sauna).
- Food & Beverage: I'm fully aware that the hotels are entitled to jack-up the prices but some of the F&B stalls/restaurants were extremely over rated - especially the Chinese restaurant on 36th Floor. The surrounding area (Centerfield) has a lot of restaurants.
